Update target values

Quality and development has a great importance to NovaCropControl. We are continuously working on further developing our plantsap and water analyzes. With this we try to achieve an ever better reflection of the plant's nutrient absorption.

In order to improve the interpretation of the plant sap reports, reference values are now displayed on the report (if these are available for the crop). This is the bandwidth within which the values lie that are considered normal for that crop.

The measurement methods for sugars and total nitrogen have been further optimized. The optimization is reflected in an improved recovery of these elements in the plant sap. In practical terms, this means that the sugar levels are lower than you may be used to. The measured values of total nitrogen will, depending on the crop, become higher than you are used to. This is especially true for woody crops. We have managed to improve the sensitivity of the measurement for those crops, this allows us to get a better assessment of the nitrogen uptake. In order to keep the progress of your (historical) plantsap data running smoothly, the reference values and historical data will be shown in www.bemesting-online.nl according to the new measurement methods. Samples will be analyzed according to the new methods from Monday 1 March 2021.

From now on we also have references for amaryllis, avocado, dill, pea, ficus, oats, kiwi, mini cucumber, rye, violin, hops and sunflower.

If you have any questions regarding the updated reporting, measurement methods, or if we can be of further assistance to you, do not hesitate to contact us.
